Both Frank and Pete have shown the true spirit of the PGCA in pictures and words. It was a great day at Major Waldron's and we all had a wonderful time. Lots of laughs, lots of powder burned, and a few targets broken too.

Congratulations to Bob for his first 25

Thanks Frank for bringing that CANNON - if you've never heard a thunderclap up real close you've got to stand beside Frank whan he trips those triggers!!!

I learned something about our beloved webmaster, Mr. Dunkle, today.... he's a first-class trash picker!!

What a wonderful day... At many levels - simply - thank you to all of you! Pete, who was High Gun - congrats!!!

As well - this event just keeps getting better with each year.... It was my personal pleasure and honor to see many old familiar faces - and meet some new folks along the way. As well - what a great surprise it was to look over and see Allan Swanson and his lovely bride Jean show up, too..! I just wish we could have convinced them to stay longer...

And - yes - Dean - I am a trash picker How do you think I can afford to reload and collect Parkers??

All of you folks are incredible. You folks are why we do this thing called the PGCA - IMNSHO....

Thank you all so much for the day...

John

Did anyone happen to notice the original Parker & Snow, Meriden CT, 58 caliber musket complete with bayonet in the gun rack. It had to be 7 ft long from butt plate to bayonet tip. Thanks to Rick Weik for bringing it.

I did - and it was wonderful..! I thought I captured some close up pics of it, but - they didn't work out as well as the others that I posted. A wonderful piece of Parker history. Rick - many thanks for bringing it along today!

Maybe a thought for next year's shoot--put some names on the faces for those of us that don't know the players.

Thanks, Linn

Those are some great pictures and it looks like you had the WX gods on your side. I would love to have been there, but alas, I'm not quite back to my old self.
That muzzle blast picture reminds me of Victory At Sea. My dad used to talk about his grandfather's 'thunder pole'. I think that's what he meant.

I'll let you ask Dave Suponski - it's his gun. We believe Robert Runge did the gold inlays.

Jeff, Its a 30" SC Trap Remington gun....Seems I don't get to shoot it much anymore...Danny seems to have taken over ownership..He shoots it pretty well too...Actually Mr. Dunkle shot it yesterday and fell in love..
