Default Hey- that's why he's a "Dean"

As maybe in Merle Haggard's song-- "and they all respect the College dean"-- So- take two identical DHE skeet guns fully optioned, made in Ilion in 1936- both NIB with all the papers and etc-- (as long as we are dreaming, let's dream big) which is worth more on the market today- the 28 gauge or the .410??

Francis, the 28, maybe $45,000, the .410, closer to $80,000, as long as we're dreaming. I could be way off, but the .410 is always more expensive, regardless of grade or condition.

Default Wow-

Almost like a scaled down versiopn of what the late IL Sen. Everett Dirksen used to say: "A few million here, a few million, and after a while, you're talkin' real serious money"-- $80K for a .410 optioned and NIB- Mama Mia- that's some a spicy meat ball, ey?? Wow- guess I'll stay in the "cheap seats" and buy/shoot lower graded 12's with DT--

I thought someone would pipe in and tell me I was way low. I agree that I may be way off the money. However, I want to know more about John Dunkle's field used skeet configured gun. I have one that gives "field used" a new meaning. OK, John, will you be sending your less than mint .410 to the cleaners or are you hunting with it like I am with mine?

DAve IF I sell the VHE 28 I'll be ionspheric.

Dunkel stole that sweet little 410 for short money...so the story goes. I guess it pays to be in the right place at the right time. Someday I hope I get there

Hi Bill..!

Actually - I've used it both at the skeet range and in the field.. Honestly - as you know - they are like "little wands" in hand and just feel "right"?? Mine would never be confused with NIB or "minty", but rather - it get's loved and shot all the time? As well, if I bring it along at the skeet range - I do let other Parker enthusiasts shoot it a round or two if they'd like? Frankly - most shoot it better than I do - which isn't saying too much

Best to you Bill!

John

Hey Dean!

A great set of "eyes" - thanks!! As well - while you were there, did you see this GH listed for $4,000? I'd be interested in the collective thoughts of the forum members, as I have a few GHs and..???..??!

Didn't see that one John. Don't know how I could have missed it. I'm going North again Friday night and I'll stop and take a look.
