One of the LI boys wil try to make it, but the Port Jeff ferry is on a winter schedule and the first is 7a, so I doubt we could make a 9a lift off at Peace Dale. We would take the New London-Orient PT on return.

Jay:
Count me in. Kathy G. and I are going to make this a micro-mini vacation. We have a room booked at Sugar Loaf Hill Bed and Breakfast in Wakefield (Peace Dale), which is supposed to be five minutes from the shooting preserve. sugarloafhill@verizon.net Stephanie at the front desk (an owner) says, if bad weather washes us out, we can cancel at no charge. Kathy will not be shooting (unless she wants to take some shots on my card). That region of Rhode Island I have spent very little time in, but looks to be well-worth exploring. Thanks for taking this on.

Russell, Just leave her a half tank of gas. That's all she'll need to do Rhode Island.
I have lots of RI friends. Surprising, they all know each other. Everything is just 'down the road'. |

And they all like to eat quahogs too.

I was attempting to perpetuate the cartoons I would often see in Yankee Magazine in the 70’s and 80’s where they poked fun at Rhode Islanders and their affinity for quahogs.
I agree - they’re delicious! And arent “cherrystones” just small quahogs? .

Made my reservations. Weather permitting, I'm bringing a friend along. The site says $30 for a 4 man cart. Hopefully that is not per person. Can a cart be reserved in advance?
