You New Years Day shooters in the North East should have ample snow from my viewing of the weather channel, to muffel the reports of your guns.

Good shooting; Roger an Ole Clunker

Austin;

My Harry Truman hat and I are ready for such an adventure but my eyes are not, I have cataracs in both eyes.

I attended an after Thanksgiving traditional disorganized shoot with a group of good old country boys near my grandads farm and that is where I determined I was having a sight problem. Missed everything I shot at that was flying, damn frustrating day.

A week later at the optromistic, thinking I need new glasses, now the story gets better. The "O" is a woman and after selling me $500 of new eye ware the problem still existed and upon a reexamination she discovered I have cataracs. I happen to think she knew of the catracs on the first exam. She must have hard up and really needed my $500. Ergo I wiil shortly own $500 of useless glasses as I am going to the opthomoligist for the laser process next week.

Sorry to miss the neat New Years Day Shoot;

Roger, You will not believe how well you will see after that surgery. I have three friends who have had it done and beyond restoring their sight they felt it gave them a new lease on life. "Absolutely rejuvenating" is how it was described to me.
It will be the best decision you ever made next to marrying your sweet wife.

Maybe we'll see you in Barrington NH next New Years Day.

Default Cataracts

Roger; I had my right eye done at 62 and the left at 68. The 21st century job on the left was quicker and easier than getting a tooth filled. The cataract surgury only removes the lens; it does not change the shape of the eye. Your old glasses should still fit.

I had an interesting experience with the right eye. The cataract was dead center, and I could see everything but the thing I was looking at. I could pick up the trap bird, set the swing and hit it, even though I couln't see it when I fired. I shot trap until the week before the cataract was removed and maintained my A classification for the season.

Best, Austin
