She would have been 14 today, sadly we lost her 2 years ago.
I have never owned another dog like her and doubt I ever will. She had so much drive, non of the other dogs could keep up with her. There will be other great dogs in my life but Belle will never be replaced. |

Sean, your post brought a tear to my eye. I can't tell you the number of times that I had that same view of my equally enthusiastic black lab, Autumn, as she launched off the dock to head out to me..... She was a great dog - on every level. Family dog, lap dog, bird dog, duck dog, even picked up the paper every morning out by the mailbox and brought it to me.
Gosh, I love Beau, but I sure miss Autumn. Dave

I love the big splash of a Lab when they hit the water after a duck. I miss my little Lab, Mabel. She was only 45 lbs, but she could haul the mail when it came to retrieving!

My Nellie just turned 1 year old 1 week ago. She passed her second AKC Senior hunt test in Vermont this weekend. She is running two more Senior tests in early August and I am hopping she will earn her title.
