Here’s an example of deep engraving by William Gough? (1907) with plate inspired by Samuel Carter’s original oil painting ‘Little Foxes’ (1873). Sorry but don’t know how to rotate last two pics.

Astounding! A Damascus 7 with unbelievable engraving. I've never seen such a gun.

Apparently, Bill, it is one of three. Not sure if the others still exist.

I’ve seen two or three others with this stylized relief engraving.

One of these days Dean our schedules will connect so you can see this one in person. From the production stats, it was one of three AA guns made with Damascus barrels. In this case, 28”. The rest being Whitworth.

Dean was one of those the one you picked up in West Roxbury? I did not photograph it well enough to tell.

Hi Corey,

". . . . it was one of three AA guns made with Damascus barrels."

Is that in all gauges for the AA?

I used to own back in the early 1980's, an AAHE in 16 gauge with damascus barrels, SN 112920 with "Terrell" on the gold grip cap and it had his name "TERRELL" in the damascus pattern.

I don't have any real good pictures of the gun but I do have a few.

Enjoy . . .

Bill

Certainly one of a kind Bill…!

As I recall Mr. Terrell was involved in procuring Damascus barrels from the manufacturer for Parker Bros.

Yes, that's about what was told to me when I bought the gun.
