Haha...you're right!
Her name is "Bela" (pronounced b-a-y-l-a) I named her after my favorite musician Bela Fleck (even though he's a guy, it sounded like a good name to me...) ![]() Plus, her name is the 1st 4 letters of my last name, and close to "Belle" my last hunting dog of many moons ago... So there you have it! ![]() |

Thought I'd post this latest, picture of my 8 month old, girl...most days, for her, are a combination of running around our "new" acreage in the Lakes Region of NH, splashing through runoff engorged brooks...smashing through thickets, happily chasing the Robins and a myriad of "grub moths" that kick up and fly erratically as we walk along in our rough, five acres of mowed grass...jumping at low hanging branches of birch leaves and pine needles that dangle enticingly out of reach...all with a few short sessions of training thrown in...nothing major yet in the way of hunt training...need to go through a first season to see how her natural instincts are before I decide which training route to take...
She drifted off to sleep shortly after this was taken...hopefully, she is contemplating, in a dog's way, what a good life she has and is dreaming of the next day's adventures, be they on land or merely, sitting in the passenger seat with her nose in the breeze. She is a good dog and I am blessed to be accompanying her on our time together on this beautiful place we call Earth. |

She sure is pretty! Did you get her locally? Kathy is in the mood for another dog... and to my way of thinking a bird dog is the only way to go.
