I'll be enjoying the fine cigar in Grouse camp either in the fine camp of our own Mr. Miles (Eric wouldn't know as he missed the season for the most part last year...oh and he goes to the meeting
 ) or a camp in Grayling. Either way you enjoy your little meeting and I'll enjoy Grouse season Bill I have been shooting the Ithaca. It needed a little trigger work done but I'll be using her again tomorrow. Its a fine gun and I'm enjoying shooting it. One more thing there Deano If I had a choice of pen raised Pheasants or Quail for a weekend vs the meeting....well I just would hope the weather holds and I have enough shells

Ahhh, for the cool days of fall. Came off the water at 11pm last night and the heat index was still around 100, which for Connecticut is highly unusual.
As to Birds in the field, problem is that I fear that if the heat does not break soon, every bird I find this fall will already look like it came out of a bucket of KFC. Our local weather man described it as another EZBake oven day. As to the Annual, maybe. Would like to see all of those Grade 4s. Supposed to be doing some shooting in Ohio in September, but I think MD is en-route to Ohio.
