Main issue has not been resolved. I get no point signal, even if the dog has been on point for minutes, but when I take the collar off and lay it on its side, the point signal comes on.Yes, I get correct distances and direction, just no point signal. Talked to Garmin, and yes they were very nice and helpful, but couldn't resolve the issue. He felt something was wrong with the motion detector in the collar, so they are sending a new one, and I am sending back this one. Season over now, so hopefully get all this resolved. $1100 for the 300i and TT25 collar,, and another 200 for the Instinct watch, has left me less than impressed with the system that everyone else seems to love.
And yes I've watched Garmin and Snells how to video's

You know what Harold, I'm gonna be honest. They are working to solve the problem for you by sending another one. We've all had companies who won't fix the issue for a customer. I think it's a great unit, they get rave reviews, but you got a lemon apparently, which will happen with any mechanical thing. I had a BMW 335xi, and while it was quick, it was littered with issues and I hated it, it was not a Porsche and it was always in the shop but BMW did fix all the problems every time. My wife wanted a BMW X3, no way to fight her off it. The BIGGEST piece of shit we've ever owned. Two torgue converters, a transmission and multiple other issues later we still have it. BMW fixed every issue. So while I don't like them and our next SUV will be something else, I have to give BMW credit for fixing every issue under warranty. I have Chevy and Dodge stories that would surely never make you do business with them again. At this point let's just hope you get a good unit and I think you will. I know a lot of guys who use them, and you're the first real problem I've heard of. You have the luck of an optometrist : )
