Also, it would have taken me a couple days to stop crying over that one.....

I recently bought a new Citori CXS white, the forend slipped out of my hands dinging the wood pretty good, I thought that was tough, Browning fixed it on them. Not sure how I'd take this event you suffered. My thoughts and prayers are with you....

Nice to see Browning step up and take care of you. They just got some great advertising. Great for both parties!

Another reason I have a separate gun insurance policy. Only a $500 deductible if this happens to me. Guns and Trophy covers the rest.

Question for the forum members, from a value or resale basis wouldn’t a new stock be much better?

IMO, Only if it was done perfectly by an expert stockmaker to be difficult to discern from the original.

I finally worked up the nerve to take the locks off and have a look.
It appears that the original stock is repairable, which is good news for me, as money is tight, as well as (at 70 years of age) time left on earth.
The deciding factor was the condition of the wood between the action plates.
I have a friend who is a retired gunsmith, Toby Leeds, who has been quite a help in this time of need.

I thought you had it booked with Dennis for a restock. Did I misread your post?

Yes, it is booked with Dennis. The question now is whether it is a repair, or a restock.

Why not contact Holland & Holland directly?

What’s the value of this shotgun?
