A 20 gauge hammer gun is on my wish list. Lifter or toplever, just as long as I can shoot it.

I picked up a 20g Sterly with 30” tubes. Had help from a member here restocking it and another member here provided Lyman ivory beads that I installed.
Also found a VHE 20g, double trigger, straight grip, 1 frame, 2 7/8” chambers and 32” tubes. Another member here sent the nickel silver stock shield that was missing. Now it’s complete, functioning perfectly and crushes long targets.
I told myself I didn’t need anymore 12g guns, but couldn’t help myself when I was offered a C grade with Bernard barrels.

Interesting characterization, referring to the Magnum 20 that is. I believe Winchester referred to their 20 gauge 21's with 30-in barrels, 3-in chambers, choked full and full as a magnum 20. Did other American double gun makers refer to any of their 20's as magnums or something similar?

Were the 20 gauge guns 2 3/4” or 3” ?

Not nearly enough were made Mills.:crying

Harold;

Dean is so right. Trust me on this one... a 30" 28 is like a magic wand in your hands. ( a 26, 28in 28ga. is pretty darn sweet too.)

I have a BHE 32 inch straight grip 20 that has factory 3 inch chambers. Probably a California duck club gun. Interestingly enough it's on an O frame vs 1 frame. I don't recall Parker ever cataloging these as a magnum 20

Darn it! Where’s that drool emoji when I need it.
