Ok, it sounds like the owner of the BHE was planning ahead. Call em in over decoys, miss with the first shot and hope for the best with the second.

There appears to be minimal tissue damage so it is my guess those fine specimens were taken with the right barrel.

Well, at least we now know for sure it was refinished . Parker 1909 ; -)
