John, we just had the warmest November on record in NEPA. If "climate change" was true I'd say bring it on!! But alas, it's only a natural cycle. Supposed to be 60 again this weekend. More like bird hunting weather than deer hunting. I'll be happy when deer rifle season is over so I can get the dogs back out for birds. I've been tagged out on deer since October, so I have all season to work the Setters!! Merry Christmas my friend!

I'll see you guys around lunch. Family breakfast with Santa Clause and my six year old are on the schedule for the morning. Looking forward to it though!

Info for everyone coming to Drakes this Saturday.

Please include a hammerless gun esp consider an ejector gun. (gauge really wont matter its up to you).

Dan is going to allow us to monopolize one field in the afternoon for a special event just for us.
24 bird (12 pair) event. each pair thrown on a 4 or 5 second delay. With in the pair the birds will be on a 2 second delay from each other, some as a following pair. Three trap machines on the field. There will be a stuffer to load for you. One shooter at a time.
Not a high pace event like a flurry but something that will keep you moving and working. Should be interesting.

For an example go to you tube and look up The Stratstone Ulimate One 2015 event. Pay attention to when Mark Winsor shoots the event. Great example of the pace of the event and how to approach it.

Just something different for us to do in the afternoon.

See ya then.

John
That sounds like a "hoot"! Really looking forward to it. If anyone is wanting to shoot Friday, several of us are going to Kidds Place at 9AM. Drakes has a big event Friday and Kidds Place is about 10 minutes away.

Thanks to all who came. Despite some setbacks, it was a great time. Thanks for making my boys feel welcome and not being too hard on Julia for shooting an L C Smith. The boys both loved it and hopefully they'll be shooting for Team Parker in a few years

The get together was definitely a good time. Mills, your boys were great and I hope you sway them the right way and not to the dark side. As for your better half shooting an L.C. Smith, any young lady that enthusiastic about shooting can shoot anything that strikes her fancy. Great time, good shooting with good friends, it doesn't get much better. Take care all and Merry Christmas.

This was a great two days!! Some of us met at Kidds Place on Friday then moved over to Drakes Landing on Sat. We shot the upper course at Drakes both morning and afternoon but with different rules. In the AM the first shooter got to set the agenda at each station while in the PM the second shooter got to set the agenda for the first shooter and the station,(who's on first?). This was just plain fun!! We ended the day at the 5 stand shooting "Stratstone Ultimate". Drakes was gracious in proving us with a fantastic lunch, ribs, brisket , shrimp, with all the fixins. We will be doing this again soon!
