Somebody has waaaaay too much time and/or money on their hands. I wish I had that problem. I once had a 470 Nitro and it is amazing how few of my friends would not even shoot just one shot from it. I will say that Elmer was right about big bore rifles, "You could eat right up to the hole."

I like to shoot deer and have way to many deer rifles but the one that causes the least amount of meat damage is the 416 Taylor. I shot through a deer lengthwise and didn't loose as much meat as from a 270. I used a Hawk 325 gr soft point. IF I had a big bore double rifle it would go to the deer woods with me no problem

'scuse me? Just where and with how many shots are you hitting a deer that results in lost meat?

right now I cant find any powder to load it with.Going to the woods with an unloaded gun is counter productive.

Dean when I slip a 130 gr NBT behind the shoulder (I really prefer the point of the shoulder) the off shoulder is always very blood shot. The meat is burger but a 325gr from the 416 through the shoulder doesn't result in as much meat loss. Don't get me wrong I like the 270 and have 2 of them and a 280 and 06 and well just about everything.
