Maybe one of these days my friend Craig will discover Fox smallbores. Any classic American maker's upland gun will go bang but many serious uplanders would agree that none have the simple but rugged mechanics and sexy looks of the Fox. I'm reminded here of the story about two young sisters told by Jack O'Connor. I paraphrase: one girl was attractive enough, even temperament, thrifty, a good cook and would make a good wife, mother and homemaker. The other had much the same qualities but was a lithe and raving beauty who had young men dreaming, fantasizing, singing outside her window and howling in the night. Their difference in look was only from a touch or two here and something there. And so it is with Fox smallbores.

I’ve owned several Sterlingworth small bores and honestly shot them as well as anything else . I could be swayed by a Sterlingworth or A grade 20 with 32” barrels .

Mike,

Any recommendations for accommodations?

I'm thinking I'll only be able to do Friday and Saturday so looking for a place to stay Friday night.

I thought I had seen some discussion on that subject somewhere but couldn't find it. I get lost easy.

For example, I got lost coming out of the shower last night. I had to call for my wife to help me. Ended up better than I expected.

I had a dish of maple walnut ice cream with maple syrup on it. What would be better?

Thanks Mike.

The motel place Daryl stays is pretty reasonable . It isn’t the taj mahal , but the heater/air worked the sheets and towels are clean and the shower was hot so what else does one need !
