Vendor attendance was down. There were not empty tables “everywhere”. As I recall there were 2 empty booths.

Shooter attendance was down for sure as well. A tell of that for me was that on Saturday morning i shot the 10/12/16g course in a squad of 7 people. We went out around 9:30 or so. We shot the whole course without having any shooting squads coming up from behind us!

I personally had one of the best years there by way of sales though. So it was good from that standpoint for me personally.

Remember that the G&H centennial event was also going on at the same time. I am not sure how much that may have effected the vendor or shooter turnout.

We had a wonderful time shooting and visiting with good friends. I think the G&H event may have had an impact on the attendance at Ernie’s.
It was definitely the place to be in early June!!

Brian is correct, Id say the tents were 90% full, with only a couple empty slots. I never waited to shoot the entire weekend, good for the shooters, bad for business. I liked the concept of 3 different courses also. Last year the south or 28 ga course was a real bear, this year was challenging, but not discouraging.
I always enjoy this weekend, and will be back next year.

Participation is down in all clay target sports and has been since the pandemic started. I see it at my club where I shoot and where I have run Wed evening trap for over 35 years. Participation is well documented and is down in all registered shooting as well. Much it has been blamed on the lack of availability of ammo and components and the high inflation of prices on components and ammo. Components and ammo are starting to be more available but prices haven't really come down much, (think about the difference in cost for factory low pressure ammo from 2019 to 2023). I was talking with the gentleman in the registration booth at HHH just before the awards and raffle. He said attendance was down and overall the people in attendance were not shooting as much. It really shouldn't be surprising to see what has affected all clay shooting sports is affecting this and other vintage double shoots.

(The top 5 scores in the Main were ALL shot by Parkers.) As quoted by Mike!

Slow down there Mike, there were 4 fellows shooting Ithaca's that were either tied or higher than your 5th Parker shooter

I'll let you guess who would have been the winning Manufacturer if Mario Barchiesi had not been shooting a Parker

Just saying

This is for all you guys that ''Need Glasses''.There were 2 booths (with tables) that were empty. There was one big empty space that you could walk outside
that normally held 2 booths, the tables were not even set up, and one empty space on the other side that would of had a booth, plus 2 empty tables by the Parker site. Just because I had a Thermos bottle and small cooler on them did not mean they were ''Rented'', This is a total of 17 tables in the Big Tent.
Now outside was a Tent Sent up, EMPTY. Now the big garage building that
used to have about 25 tables in it, EMPTY! And yes I know Charlie passed on. So if I am adding correctly, that comes to 42 tables. Now if you count the Auction tables & the gun collector tables (they do not Sell Anything) just how many real vendors were their? As for shooting, record low attendance meant ''No Waiting''
and they could shoot all they wanted (or afford. And the guy that use to set up outside the tent with a trailer full of guns, GONE.

Harry

P.S. I do not think the G&H event affected this at all, Hell you had to pay $100 dollars just to park your car. Just look up that event and ''Look at the Costs'' and you will See what I Mean.
