Sorry it took so long to answer it along way from Fl to Tulsa. The sn is correct. The breech end corner is damaged where it has been dropped. It still locks upwell and I feel that it is repairable. I am a gunsmith but why? it part of its History. The wall thickness at the muzzle is about an 1/8th of an inch. It is a grade 3. I found a bigger scale the gun weighs 15 1/4 lbs.

I ordered a letter (thanks Chuck and the new on line system!!!!) and it is indeed a 6 frame 10 ga. weighting 15 1/4 lbs. with 36" bbls. It is on the way to me. I was hoping it was an 8 but at least now I don't need to invest in loading 8 ga. equipment. A good friend inspected the gun and it appears to be honest in all respects with a few warts. Maybe I can shoot a few ducks with the old beast and write and article for PP or DGJ.
