I made it to St Michael's in time to get to the auction house for an hour or so and take a quick peek at all the goodies. I'm going to have to get serious tomorrow, at least on the guns that I am interested in. There are way too many guns to go over in one afternoon, at least for me. Lots of good stuff. I have already made my first score. Managed to get some pretty good seafood at the Tidewater, thanks Josh! I will see the rest of you fellas tomorrow when you come rolling in, be prepared, lots of goodies.

Randy, are you hinting that Josh picked up the check for lunch at the Tidewater. Just asking.

It was dinner, Bill. I had to run to the airport to pick up my assistant. Sorry to have missed you!

Look forward to seeing you all later today and tomorrow. Safe trip in!

Well, I am not able to attend the auction. I will be watching things remotely. There are so many beautiful guns to be seen. I am curious to see how accurate the estimates are on the guns. My hands will be duct taped and tie-wrapped to my chair which, in turn, will be almost across the room for safety's sake. Have a great time everyone and safe travels to All, Best Paul

Paul, I will be in the same position you are. I have seen the elephant and I will enjoy the memory in front of the computer. I am using the Guyette app which allows you to avoid the high percentages charged by the auction services. Their service is 1% over the buyer's premium.

I have looked over the offerings and only have interest in one item, I entered my bid and plan to observe from my computer. I did consign two items and have my fingers crossed they sell near the average estimate. Good luck to all the bidders and wish I was able to make the live sale.

I'll be on the phone bidding on a couple of things, probably one of Craig's guns. It should be fun.

Craig L., Paul, Randy, Stan, Josh, Stiener and Bill: as fate would have it, I will not be able to make the sale either. For some unforseen reason I did not receive a catalog, but no matter; I and a few others are intimately familiar with some of the greatest guns in this sale:

Years ago Bill Murphy and I were allowed to display the spectacular BHE 28 gauge in the sale for our "Old Baltimore Show" array of Parker 28 gauge guns. All I can say is that whoever gets it will aquire IMHO the finest example of smallbore Parker Gun craftsmanship extant since the production of the 3 Parker Invincibles.

Bill and a few others have tracked for years the path of Fred Kimble's 10 ga. pigeon gun; now it is on the block and available for ownership, once again a milestone gun in the evolution of the gun, the men, and the sport.

Likewise the A-1 Special SBT, a gem of Parker Gun Collectibles (an estimate 5 built??) has finally been "brought to (Chesapeake) bay" Pun intended!!. Notwithstanding the vagaries of poor handling and storage effects, a rare artifact worth saving!!

How do I get on a website to watch the sale in real time? Doing so will be like waiting in the nursery for the new adoptive parents to arrive to take the "baby" home, being cared for in a different but loving way. What a great opportunity for all!
