I don’t have the catalog at home but I think the add said “two barrel set” . Your question was perfect. As soon as I saw the Remington stamps I realized that the forend and stamps should have jumped out at me. Honestly, I hadn’t really looked the 2nd set of barrels over very closely. They have a small repaired bulge so I didn’t plan to shoot them until I have someone look them over. I did measure the BWT this week and the area of the repair was consistent with the area around it. They’re beefy barrels.

Thanks Edgar, That must be where I got the idea. At any rate, I’m very pleased with the purchase and anticipate that the gun will be with me until my kids have to worry about what to do with it.
