I saw the same thing when I was thinking of purchasing their products and stopped immediately.I get the feeling the owner is talking down to you/us.They would gladly give up all lead production and then scratch their heads when they're told their product os banned.
I just happened to read the steel shot history in the Lyman Shotshell Reloading Handbook 5th Edition.Which I always questioned the decision and in hindsight more ducks were killed with steel shot than ever with lead poisoning in my opinion. The fact that no direct studies/evidence ever gets published/distributed about the ban. Here's just one goggle search which the opening statement is suspect.Unless I'm reading this wrong it states following the lead ban cripples went down. https://nsojournals.onlinelibrary.wi...002/wlb3.01001 try and find hard evidence anywhere that is trust worthy. It doesn't matter as it will never get repealed. But given an inch and they'll take a mile every time.Look at the cost of lead now. |

Bob, I've always believed that steel shot and some of the non toxics have crippled more birds that eventually die than were harmed with lead shot. I know that supposedly this was done to protect eagles and vultures, scavengers if you will. Personally I believe that the predators are out of control but I digress. The problem is that using lead shot even a mediocre shot could harvest a bird. When they were forced to use a ballistically inferior product coupled with their poor shooting, cripples went up.

I use lead in the uplands and have tried all types of bismuth for waterfowl. Boss works best in my model 21 duck and Fox wildfowl. When something better comes along ill switch. talking to them in the past was like speaking with teenagers. They should shut up and make ammunition.
