I have cut down the comb on an inexpensive Eibar double by 1/8" and refinished it. That solved its high patterning. Before cutting, rasping, bending or selling, however, you might try adjusting the pitch downward using a tapered shim inside the leather slip on pad. I find I am very sensitive to pitch and need about 3" down pitch to shoot a gun well. Worth a try before something more permanent.
