The gun is a full race Wilson Combat. I'll bet it will digest anything yopu can get into the magazine.

Egad! There must be nothing to fear or be circumspect of these days. I feel better now. I'm going to run out and buy a few more 8-pounders of Red Dot just to celebrate.

Last weekend the Kittery Trading Post had a 2 day Winchester truckload ammunition sale. A couple of people I know went to the store before it opened on Saturday and found lines 50 people deep at each door. They had 333 packs of Winchester 22LR for $18 and some off name brand 50 rd boxes of 22LR for $4. They limited each customer to 3 boxes of each. My friends said the crowd around the shelf of 22 ammo was like a feeding frenzy of sharks and the 22 ammo sold out in a couple of minutes. It remains crazy out there.

I have also heard that a small gun store in Rochester NH is taking 22 LR ammo in trade towards the purchase of firearms and paying a premium price for it.

I have unopened 1lb cans of Powder:

452 AA (1lb 4.9 oz -- weight of can and powder)

And
Hercules Bullseye (1 lb 2.9 oz) Pistol powder

And once opened:

473 AA (14.4 oz)

I do not reload these powders. If anyone can use them, I will bring them to the SXS.

Richard

Well this doesn't help the situation. The Rio Ammunition plant had a fatal explosion and fire last week. I am going to guess their production of ammunition is going to be delayed for awhile.

You may be more right than you think. These Feds in in Nevada seemed to have plenty of ammo. To shoot cows:

Can you think of anyone else in history who has done this? Except with people...

Just looked rst has no 10 ga ammo ! And probably wont for awhile because of powder/hull shortage . I just ordered some gaugemates gold 10 ga to 16 ga . wanted 20ga ones but they sold out and are selling off leftover stock . I can get 16 ga ammo easily . Guess I should hide my 4 boxes of rst and just shoot 16ga until rst gets back to it .
