i ve looked very hard at these barrels from what i see they are steel barrels in my opinion worth about 2 cents to most folks... what are the lentgh of the chambers.....nice gun anyway it goes... charlie

As a newbie to the world of Parkers I am curious as to if the barrels are Parker Brothers also. I have read on this forum that barrels have been made in England, Italy and I am sure other countries as well. I think the photos could have been much better and if they are genuine Parker Brothers they certainly must have credible markings which our experts would recognize. Please believe I am not putting you or the gun down but the fact that the set of barrels fit on that Parker shotgun doesn't necessarily mean they were made in Meriden, CT. Could you show photos of the barrel flats, any inscription on the top rib and better photos overall. I hope this is taken as a sincere question and not to be offensive.

Dennis: No offense taken.I just got home from the gun show and snapped a couple more pictures that i hope will be a little clearer.Bill wanted a shot of the dolls head and you wanted barrel flats. I can tell you that there is no inscription on the ribs.Thomas

one thing for sure on this set of barrels that are parker is the cocking hook...look closely at it i did.... charlie

the top rib looks like the rib on a set off vickers barrels my son has. but his has marks on the under side.

There was a time when Lefever was rebarrelling composite barrel Parker's. There could be a Remington, DelGrego, Lefever connection. Bill Murphy knows the story behind the Lefever involvement and perhaps knows what a set of barrels they did would look like.

Every set of Lefever barrels I have seen have a Parker style matting on the rib. The work on these barrels looks pretty nice. A set of well fitted ten gauge fluid steel barrels on an early Parker makes for a pretty nice gun. The lugs look like original Parker. If they are Lefever, they would most likely be sleeved. If not sleeved, they would be Remington Parker barrels if they came from Lefever. I would buy that gun.

That would really be my bet. That they are Remington made Parker barrels that were obtained after Remington was no longer servicing Parker's. And they were matted and engraved by after the fact.
