Lou Flynn said you were still in therapy and that's why he was selling your guns.

My guns are my therapy. Hell, I used to shoot lawyers when I got mad. If that's the thanks I get for all the deals I've given him, I might go back to lawyer shootin.

Larry, thanks for the rundown on scores. Great shooting guys. How about telling us what guns, chokes and loads you shot for the competition. To me that is just as important as the scores. Inquiring minds want to know,
Thanks!

That would be too easy. Set your sights higher, go to the University Club, or any Golf club, and get a double-double. You won't need anything heavier than number 9, as they are so thin skinned.

Daryl,
I shot my 30" SG AA that I use for all the sporting and five stand events. It's choked Mod/Full and over the years I have found I get the best results with 7/8 oz loads. I think jamming less lead thru tight chokes allows for better patterns as well as more velocity and less recoil. The loads I'm using now give me 1300fps at 6100psi. These are a little stout for Deb and her SG BTFE CHE is choked IC/Mod so she shoots a 1oz load that gets 1225fps at 5300psi.

Mr. Frey,

When are we going to get you shooting a hammergun?

John,
A steel barreled Hammer Gun is high on my list but it seems a couple of our members have been hoarding them all. I may end up having to make one up or take a chance on shooting those DANGEROUS Damascus barrels.

Larry;
Thanks for the info. I'm glad you like the 7/8oz load as I also feel that lighter payloads give better patterns and are easier on you and the gun. Let me know when you are ready to move up to the 3/4oz stuff. They are truly amazing in performance.

I used a 32" DHE that's full/full+ with the Remington STS light, they're 1 1/8oz. 1145 fps. It can be a challange for the close targets but it's great for the long reach, and I think there were more long shots than close ones. My score wasn't great, but it's not the guns fault. Next time I think a little warm up at the 5 stand before the sporting clays would help me out a bit.
