Larry & Deb please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your family member. I know all to well what you are going through. Our 4 legged friends are here for shuch a short time physically but will live in our hearts forever.

I'm sure Miss Brooke is running the fields with her new friends in heaven. All dogs go to heaven...some are joined by their human counterparts.

Larry and Deb,

Kathy and I both know what you're feeling at this time of loss. Brooke was such a love; one of the sweetest lady labs we have ever known. The faithful love you two always showed her was returned to you every day... You both have always been eager to talk about her while she was with you - don't stop - keep her memory alive and share it.

Our heart goes out to you both. I think Mark, (BFT) said it all.

Sincerely,

I know how you feel Larry, and I'm sorry for your loss, but the pain of loosing a pet is the price we pay for their love and the memories that last forever. I guess we've all experienced loosing a 'best friend' pet, and it's never easy. I lost my faithful companion and 16 year best herding dog this spring. I can't help but smile every time I look at her picture, which is a huge comfort on days when there's little else to smile about.

Thank you all for the kind words. Holding her as she took her last breath was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do but I think Edgars quote pretty well sums it up "it's the price we pay" and she was so worth it.

Larry, my condolences for the loss of your hunting companion. I know what you and Deb are going thru. The pain and sorrow we have experienced over the years losing some of the most noble, and loyal little friends that have passed thru our lives. This last time, we thought "that was it!" "I can't go thru this again!"
Here I sit surrounded by my two new puppies. Hard headed, mischievous, but ever vigilant in their little puppy ways to find that missing void in your heart, and overwhelm it.
I pray that we will see them again.
