I wanted to add that one of the display guns was the Ulrich engraved B grade Parker. There are only a few Ulrich engraved Parkers, so people who were interested in fine guns of historical significance were interested in inspecting this firearm. The gun came through the Borden estate ( Borden/Carnation Foods), as a Borden daughter was married to Ulrich. There were other guns of historical significance, notably the full series of hammer Parkers that were displayed. Those who knew firearms spent a lot of time with those. Naturally, the high grade guns, the unusual damascus and the Bernards attracted much interest.

Bruce,

Thanks for a wonderful post. It was great to see that Charlie Herzog never seems to age. He looks the same as he did when we were crawling around the attic of the Parker Gun Works in Meriden in 1996 gathering Parker hang tags and shots shell boxes. As I recall, his face was black when we got down, but his smile was almost as big as in that last photo!!! I sure do envy you guys. I wish I could have been there as well. You put together a wonderful exhibit and clearly deserved the NRA award. Congratulations.

Interesting to note that R. L. Wilson appears to be out of federal prison...

Best, Kensal

Here's ours and Frank and Maryanne Finch's L C Smith booth. She had theirs all feng shua'ed. We had a gym bag. We need some harmony and peace stuff in ours instead of just a bunch of old guns.

Bruce,

The only thing missing from the Parker display was pretty women! Those wonderful Parkers almost make up for that.
