Default Sorry about the Tail!

Here is my latest sidekick, Ice the pointing machine. She is in her prime and will be 6 this coming July and rarely bumps any bird I'm after. Ha, I paid a lot more for her than I did for my first AAHE, which ended up being Pug's first high grade Parker many many many years ago. She has been one of my very best investments. I just booted her butt out of bed to take my ticker meds and check my e-mail. Grouse from today and a rooster from last Friday. I also included an older photo of my old timer buddy, Ruddy. He is now in his 14th year and very happy on new pain meds. (translated: expensive) In fact, Richie and I may plant a rooster or two for him in the near future. He has taken to just grabbing them, oh well, at least I don't have to clean the gun and I can't give him hell either as he is deaf as a post, too much time at the wrong end of the smokepole. He screamed like a kid having a tantrum when Ice and I left this morning. All good stuff, then we croak. Oh, check out the sign I ran across up in Vt while chasing Mr. Pat.

Oh Josh; Thank You for the PM, too stupid to figure out how to get reply past my security stuff, so Happy New Year to you and your family. I did give your message to mom about the silver cup, and she said she will give you a call when the time comes.

Sorry if I highjacked this thread.

I like that sign! I think I've seen it but can't remember where in Vermont I saw it (or one just like it). Maybe it's a philosophy that's catching on and there are more than just that one sign in the Vermont countryside.

Where did you see that one Tom?

Chuck: Joe's leg is not quite well yet and he is still hobbling around, using it to solicity sympathy, handicap parking tag and all.

Tom that damn Chuck had already hijacked it.

Best,

Mike

Did Joe mooch some roosters from you while doing his best limp and wince?

I think it was Peter and that Weber character that hijacked this thread. Weber doesn't have any 'special powers' outside the kingdom, right?

I think Mark'll forgive me if I convince him to chase quail this weekend.

Different Webers from different states Chuck.

Tomorrow someone else has to look after you.

I am jealous. I haven't killed a wild quail this season.

Best,

Mike

Hello Dean, The sign was southwest of Echo Lake, VT, somewhere up the sidehill on the east side of the road. How's that for a vague answer to protect my Pat spots. Actually, I don't exactly remember where it was, but the same day I got a photograph of grouse in an apple tree eating buds, just don't know where it is around here.

Reward: Lost English Pointer with GPS tracking collar. If you return the collar I will give you the Pointer

Default Pointagra

My dog suggests for points lasting longer than 4 hours, your dogs should seek immediate Veterinary attention.

Jent,
That pic was taken by a pro photographer that visited Hickox when the dog was his. I don't let that dog go out for a crap without a GPS collar, 3 forms of I.D., at least one of which is rivetted to her ear, and the helo warmed up.
