I agree with Mike Franzen. The mentioned gun, 181,261, is about the high serial number of scroll engraved single traps. Who has a higher number single trap without a pigeon in the engraving pattern?

We sometimes see preasants on Remington era DHE’s floor plates.

My 5E Knick has what I guess is a pheasant on the left side, but it's kinda stylized - long tail like a cock pheasant but no crest etc. on the head.

In addition to my V1 Parker SC, I just put a deposit on my second Ithaca 4e. This one with a straight stock and 32” barrels. I need a 12 step program. But until then….Id love to find a 5e (& another SC). Carry on!
