Here’s an example of a Runge signature.

Robert R Runge (Father) 1931 to 1942
Robert P Runge (son) 1934 to 1942

Hard to tell the date. Possible 1933 - Check the serial number of gun for date. This may help to date the engraved date. Could be a Del Grego upgrade since Robert Runge did upgrades for Del Grego. Runge signed the Del Grego guns, but probably not the factory guns. Others here will know about this. Also, others may be able to tell if this is by the father of son, since the engraving is pretty crude.

Looks like 1963 to me.

I have seen this exact signature that John Davis shows in the same location on a .410 upgrade from DelGrego and Runge.

Dean, you are correct. 1963 SAA upgrade by Runge and DelGrego.

Robert P. Runge did sign some Remington guns, mostly F Grades. To clarify, I am referring to Remington guns, not Remington Parkers.

The late Remington style markings on the barrel flats and lug show those barrels were added to the OPs gun in Ilion June 1941 (PK3). Is the rib plain or does it have the legend ribbon?
