Doctor Truitt, the long barrel guns at the Northeast Shoot will have you salivating. The Bo Whoop competition was a gun exhibition more than a shooting exhibition. X Grade Foxes and B Grade Parkers were not numerous but they were there on the firing line.

My two cents on the Bo-Whoop targets is that a shooter absolutely needs a 12 ga. gun with at least .035" of constriction and some tried and true time-tested loads. A good amount of practice at similar targets is a plus. The #1 target launches from a good forty yards and angles away from the shooter crossing left to right at a high rate of speed and only presents an "on edge" silhouette to shoot at. The #2 target launches from easily fifty yards away in a slow right to left arching loop dropping to earth some eighty yards away.
I think skill and luck play about equal parts in this game and I had only a smidgin' of each as I only broke one of the #1 targets in the only 10-shot round I shot. |

Danny and I had a fantastic time shooting with old friends and making some new one's! And oh ya eating like king's thank to Debbie and Kathy...
 The only problem with thses shoot's is that you wait for month's and then it's over in a flash. Anyone in for some clay's tomorrow?...I'm in!Allow me to bore ya with some more pictures..

It's good to hear you gents are safely back at home. I agree with Dean, some heavy choke was needed this year on both birds. I started out on Friday with a Super Fox with its #2 barrel, choked 24 and 40. I couldn't do much with that right barrel. Most of my shooting was with another Fox choked 42 and 42, and some practice shooting on the second bird with a Fox SBT gun, choked 43 thou. All with 1-1/8 ounce loads of hard 7.5's. Best breaks were with another Super choked 50 and 51, using Winny AA Super Pigeon loads with 1-1/4 ounce of coppered 7.5's. But that Fox was just too heavy (9 pounds) to catch the first screamer. Dr. John, it is a sixteen gauge, Grade 3, 0-Frame with lightening cuts, in extremely high original condition with the exception of the 25 3/8" barrels. I can't comment on the originality of the length of the barrels but where we would normally see keels there is only wax or some other substance visible. It belongs to Morris Baker and better men than I have tried to coerce him into parting with it.
