The cell phone really helped keep track of him which was nice. It used to be a lot tougher keeping track of the group before cell phones.
Cell phones were a big game changer for the Tulsa show. Back in the day before we had decent cell service, we had to tell potential buyers at the table that owner of the gun was away from the table & I couldn't cut a deal on his gun.

Then we tried walkie talkies for a couple of years and due to the way, the building was set-up they were spotty at best. Then came cell phones and they were a game changer because we could always get in touch with the others, we we're sharing tables with.

I shared a table on the lower level with a friend. My first time at the show. I will probably not go again. Too many black guns, new guns, new knives, jewelry booths, gimmick booths, leather goods booths, etc. for my taste. My other impression was that most of the guns were overpriced. VH 12 Parkers for $3000; Trojans for $2000, field grade LC's for $2000, JABC's for $1000. Most of the new revolvers were $1000 or more. The nicer guns carried commensurate increased prices. Eagle grade Smith $16,000 etc etc.
I did find a 3rd model Smith Hand Ejector 32 with a 4 1/4 " barrel in really nice shape for $450. The one saving grace of the show is that buying and selling is done the old fashioned way. I wont elaborate on that. Anyway, thats my impression and Im sticking to it. Others may differ.
