Sorry about my poor quality picture.

When this gun was made Mr. Gable was selling neckties at Meier & Frank in Portland, Oregon. He may have owned it later in life.
I know who owns this gun and I've handled it. He wouldn't let me shoot it though.

That is just gorgeous, Bob.

Doves quicken my pulse . . . . to say the least. Actually, they haunt my dreams.

My pastor, who is a longtime dove shooting buddy of mine, mentioned last Sunday before the sermon, as he was asking who in the congregation had birthdays in June, that it was only a little over two months until dove season. My kind of preacher!

A bit off the trail here, so forgive me. We once had a preacher who loved squirrel hunting as much as my Pop (a Deacon) and I. Every now and then he’d go on a Fall Saturday afternoon…when, he said, his sermon was written. Big stuff for a 7 year old.
