Does the buttstock side panels have thin veneers added covering a split repair?

Interesting hang tag for the 30" barrels
DuPont Oval was developed for the 1922 introduction of Western Cartridge Co.’s 12g 2 3/4” 1 1/4 oz. 3 3/4 Dram Eq. ‘Super-X Field’ which is likely the load specified.

Is that the same powder that played a part in the
development of the Super Fox guns?

Capt. Charles Askins and E.M. Sweeley published a series “Ballistics of the Shotgun”, and in April, 1922 Outdoor Life, “Late Developments in Guns and Ammunition” made reference to a "Special Fox gun"

DuPont Oval was the only powder used in the early Super-X line.

For those members who have attended the "Tusla" show, is one better than the other? Fall or Spring?

Each show has good and bad, I always find something to buy. This show:
lifter D grade 12 ga
lifter C grade 10 ga
Each are in rough condition and they will get parted out.
0 frame 16 gauge 0 grade 28” barrels with lightening cuts. It needs a good cleaning and a stock crack repair.
The BHE pictured here
16 ga set of repro barrels.
A couple Randall knives
A front end off a 20 ga model 12, P code parts set solid rib 26” factory CYL choke.

It’s always fun and enjoyable.
