The Vintagers have just announced a change of venue for the 2023 Vintage Cup on Facebook. It will still be held in Wellsville PA but at Warringtons Sporting Clays rather than at Central Penn.

This is also a great shooting preserve, which is how Warrington Kennels started under it's founder Claire Gross. He was a great dog breeder/trainer and field trial judge in his day. I lived about 10 miles from here in the 80s and enjoyed his company, a great Brittany he bred and lots of quail, chukars and pheasants!

The PGCA Annual Meeting and Member Appreciation Banquet will be held in conjunction with the Vintagers in 2023. Details to follow. I believe they are having the rifle events at this this venue.

I shot Warrington in 2021 at the LC Smith Turkey Shoot . Nice folks this place is very good for those that rather walk .

Rumor number two is in place, including an official poster. I'm looking forward to it, no matter where it is held. I just hope the promoters get real about vendor fees. The market is not what it was ten or fifteen years ago and vendors have made themselves content with slower sales but don't need an increase in fees.

I've just made reservations to sleep in my own bed for this event For those of you looking for motel's in the area, I'd recommend staying in the Mechanicsburg area, close to I-83. Also plenty of restaurants there. We are looking into having a ZZ bird setup at this shoot. Not making any promises at this point but it could just be shoot X amount of targets at a fixed price just to see what it's like. An actual competition may take too long, but who knows at this point. Also, Central Penn Sporting Clays is just a short walk from Warrington Sporting Clays so if you want to shoot a ton of targets, you can burn a lot of powder!

Also, the Gettysburg battlefield is about 1/2 hour away. If you haven't visited Gettysburg, it's well worth it.

Good venue but lousy date. Dove season is just getting under way. Doves come first, then maybe the overpriced clay birds.

Daryl, so you shoot doves every day from the beginning to the end of the first season??? Give me a break. The date of the Vintage Cup is the least of our worries. See you there, buddy. You and I can both sleep in our own beds every night. This is a "commuter shoot" for you, I, and Chuck, maybe for a few years.

The Northern SxS Challenge at Rock Mountain doesn't charge any fees for vendors. Just sayin'. Plus the number of shooters for this event has gone up every year.

Another bizarre twist, the post and graphic I shared earlier about the Vintage Cup being held at Warringtons Sporting Clays has mysteriously disappeared from the Vintagers Facebook page.

I have no idea what is going on but I am starting to believe if it wasn't for disorganization the Vintagers would have no organization at all
