On a bit different note but the main idea works for most all , when my mother was fighting cancer her attitude was 220% positive and it took the cancer almost seven years to take her . The doctors told me in their opinion her attitude let her beat the disease as long as she did . So in your case “I think” the more positive you are the better the healing process will go

I have already begun to make changes to my shooting habits, such as check the chambers after EVERY shot, which previously I was not in the habit of doing.
