I took the pad from a gun I had sold, and it pretty much just bolted on. This gun has the Parker Single Trigger, which needs a little work. The selector doesn't work properly, (won't fire left barrel first if selected) and has a very heavy trigger pull. I've heard that some shooters cranked up trigger pull weights to stave off flinching problems. Don't know if that's the case here, but the gun is a project. Possibly a very good project. A friend of mine has been saying that he thinks this gun should be upgraded to an A, AA, or maybe an A1, but I don't have the finances for a project on that level. A wood upgrade would be it for me. |

If you use that blank, get a different forend piece. I would not use that for the forend on a SxS. It would not be strong and would be a pain to work with. Or if the gun were a splinter, you could get it out of the butt piece.
I have a few times had to go back to cecil and exchange forend blanks for straighter ones.
