Every Parker collector should own at least one #1 frame 12ga!!! I fell for a #1 frame CH circa 1891 many years back from Steve Barnett. 30"bbls, 7.4lbs, 038 min walls.

That's a beauty, Craig. I can see why you fell for it.

I have one hammer gun and 5 hammerless guns built on the 1 frame - grades one through 5. The lightest is a 7 lb. GH with 30 inch barrels (and letters as such). They are worth seeking out, and you will notice the difference in your hand.

Thank you everyone I would love that for grouse. Craig, that's a beauty! And Don, at 26" that is a grouse killer I'm sure. I have one on a 1 1/2 frame 26" barrels and not too awful heavy at all at 7lb 4oz or so, but below 7lbs I can't imagine it wouldn't be just magnificent to carry. I'll keep looking, and I'll be buying a slew of tickets Brian.

My 1918 26" damascus #1 frame GHE12 weighs 6#10oz and is one of my go to guns. I love that thing for hunting over pointing dogs in cover. I shoot very low power loads in it. It's not a stunner condition wise but has nice wood and sure is a great shooter. It's the perfect gun for anyone who thinks they might want a 16ga but don't have a 16ga press..... like me.... The recoil is less than with most 20's. The bbls look to have been cut, but it letters with 26" bbls.
