Thanks for the video link...My gauge is on the way 2nd day air...(-: It will be added to the tool box...I already have the stan baker bore reader set with 4 probes. This is a nice tool for reading bores and actual choke contricktions. With both tools I should be able to know everything about any barrel set. Thanks for the replies to my questions...SXS ohio...(-:

Kenny,

Since you asked the question is there any better price for one I did not know if you meant specifically the Hosford tool or another tool. I purchased the Manson Wall Thickness Gauge for $100 from Brownells and I am very happy with it. #513-000-066AC

I really wanted one without spending a lot for a tool that I don't use very often and was happy to find this at Brownells. The only negative is that the dial indicator was from our "Most Favored Nation" status trading partner whose President graced our shores this week. The instrument itself I believe to be machined here as there was no indication to the contrary.
