You first need to decide if you want to shoot a black powder load out of brass shells or a low pressure nitro load out of plastic shells. I have leaned towards black powder because I can shoot larger loads safely.

It's not "larger loads" that gets the job done - it's tight chokes and density of (#6) patterns for head and neck shots..... unless you're going for body shots, in which case you'll need BIG shot and LOTS of it pushed by lotsa powder.

I use low pressure nitro loads in 8 and 10 gauge brass shells.
