Asa Kelley has the worst looking 12Ga. Trojan Barrels in the PGCA, but it is one of the best shooting 26 in Parkers That I have ever shot. I got a 24 the only round of skeet that I shot with it. I am thinking Asa has shot 50 straight with it. So even though you Trojan is well used it will be a pleasure for you to shoot for years and years more.

Default THANKS TO MY FELLOW NIMRODS!

THANKS TO ALL MY FELLOW NIMRODS! That's exactly what I kind of expected. And couldn't agree more. I never plan to sell it anyway!
Although, "HE" was an Engineer,(MY GIRLFREINDS' DAD) and valued many things that were beautiful, such as 'coin collecting', old 'copper-wood-prints', and fabulous homes and CARS - he always saw his "GUNS" as "TOOLS"! I, on the other hand, use my tools......but, being an ARTIST all my life - which includes: caring-about-and- getting PAID - to care about- WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE! I always wanted things that were on the "FANCY"-side. So, I thought about "enhancing"it.
Other than that, I truly believe the second SHOT is for the second bird!
It's more important to me that the gun "FITS", the mechanism is superb, and the "PATTERN" is uniform at 20 yards!
By the way, I used to shoot SKEET VOCIFEROUSLY, and have had many 100/SRT rounds! My COACH was the great "RED HILL", 4 TIMES WORLD CHAMP, from the 70's! He was very big on "FIT & SIGHT & PATTERN", and a wonderful
generous man! He taught me how to loose - "Cause nobody's PERFECT"!

What exactly is a nimrod?
Feb 11, 2004 ... The American Heritage Dictionary offers two distinct definitions of a nimrod -- either a hunter, or a person regarded as silly or foolish. ...
ask.yahoo.com/20040211.html - Cached - Similar

So you can take it either way

DEAR SIRS: I MEANT NOTHING MORE THAN THE REFERENCE TO "A MIGHTY HUNTER", OR A "FINE OUT DOORS MAN"! I WOULD NEVER "SLAM" ANYONE CONNECTED TO THIS RESPECTED ORGANIZATION. WHAT REASON WOULD I HAVE TO DO SO? iF YOU NEW ME, AD MY REPUTATION OF INTEGRITY,(I AM A MASON OF EXCELLENT INTEGRITY), AS WELL AS
A GOOD, LAW-ABIDING HUNTER OF MANY YEARS, YOU WOULD NEVER APPROACH SUCH A INDIGNANT INSINUATION!
I THINK IT'S "FOOLISH" TO BE PARANOID ABOUT ANYONE ON THIS SITE,,,PLEASE EXCUSE MY APPROPRIATE UTILIZATION OF "OLD ENGLISH VERBIAGES".

STEVE - A NIMROD , IN MY UNDERSTANDING, IS A FINE AND STEALTHY HUNTER, AND A LOVER OF THE OUT DOORS! NOTHING MORE! A COMPLIMENTARY JARGON FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE "GUNS, DOGS, HUNTING, FISHING, AND UNDERSTAND THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE"!
BELIEVE ME, IF I WANTED TO INSULT SOMEONE - YOU WOULDN'T EVER BE CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT I MEANT! I SPENT 2 TOURS OF "NAM" AND ONE THING FOR SURE, I ALWAYS KNEW WHEN SOMEONE WAS "SHOOTING AT ME"!
THINK ABOUT IT.....WE ALL HAVE GUNS. SINCE I DIDN'T KNOW WHO APPOINTED "YOU" THE ONE (O.I.C.) DESIGNATED TO BE THE OUT CASTER, I
WILL CHOOSE TO CONTINUE MY ENDEAVORS IN PURSUIT OF THE PGCA!

In my lexicon a "nimrod" has always been an outdoorsman with few equals; a good hunter; a man who knows his equipment.
