Jeff, I took mine apart, and there is no evidence of ever being impressed with a number, nor has there ever been any writing on it.

Interesting. They may have been overruns that got sold or a special issue.

Same here Dean, My 1934 Salesmans portfolio is numbered with a a letter attached I believe, Gary

Alright, The 1895 showroom catalogue is signed, The number is 234 stamped on the inside cover of the leatherette about 1/2 inch from the edge of the inside front cover, with the initials LLB in blue ink, The 1934 catalogue is number 94 last page with instructions to return to Remington, also a letter, Gary

Mine isn't signed or numbered. Ordered early on so it shouldn't have been an over-run. If I remember correctly, signed and numbered copies were an extra cost but only 500 copies overall.
