I guess there really IS something to that "contiguous United States" disclaimer....

I find that shipments usually end up showing up sooner. So you pay extra to get it there the same time a lower price would have. Sounds like a deal!

Or damage. I sent a set of barrels off once used PVC pipe to send them in. On the way back to me the pipe was broken clear into. The amazing thing was they were not damaged. I wonder what they would of looked like if they would of been in a cardboard box. I bought a gun from Robin it came in a box he built from wood, wise fellow. ch

Most any service to Kodiak gets there either late, or very late. Depends on the weather as they close the airport pretty regularly, and especially in winter. If it has to go by boat, from Homer to Kodiak, don't send a calendar as it will be obsolete when it gets there.

I have a couple of wooden boxes I made specifically for shipping barrels. One inch sides, and ends, and 1/4" Birch plywood for top and bottom. The screws are the very large head furniture screws with torx heads. They have been back and forth to Grand Rapids with nary a scratch.

Canadian customs pried and ripped the lid off such a box I sent to Chris because they couldn't be bothered to find the correct (tiny) Torx bit.
No damage done to the contents however.

I talked to Brad's son Parker yesterday about doing a set of barrels. He said to touch base with them after the first of the year. I'm up in the air about doing them BUT they do look like chrome tubes on a CHE 20. According to TPS they made eight with 26 inch Damascus barrels. I can drive the barrels to Brads which is a good thing

I've had it in Channing each October. I took a bad fall a couple of years ago with it fortunately no damage to the gun my arm wasn't as lucky.

Well they arrived safely, waiting to hear from Brad on what he thinks.
