The guy that owns the property in Arkansas that my buddy hunts piggies on told me the last time I was down "it ain't about the hunting anymore , it's all about the food , the wine and eating well" . Usually when the annual piggy trip happens it's also the last weekend of ducky season and there'll be about 20 of the owners duck hunting friends and those of us that go for the pigs !

It's still about the hunting for me, but the eating is still a fun part of it

Mills. How about adding sausage gravy, buttermilk biscuits and maybe some eggs to go with the grits? Thanks, Bob

Was out with the dogs early this morning and, guess what. I heard a gobbler sound off three times. Perhaps the turkey know more about predicting spring than ground hogs.

When I got home from shooting 5-stand this afternoon there were 4 long beards in the field close to where I heard them this morning.

Spring is coming Charlie. Yep, be here before you know it. Right after the 6 inches of snow forecast for tomorrow.
