I wonder to whom they sent the BHE to appraise its originality?

I don't know that they did, but it wouldn't surprise me. They have a Henry Rifle I have drooled over that comes with an appraisal letter if you buy it(never gonna happen), they also have several high dollar 1st generation colt SAAs they have had appraised so who knows.

Everything I bring up on their website is "sold". How do I get out of the archive section?

Click on the main site button in the middle top of the page, or use this link.

They don't have a lot of parkers currently.

I was in Houston about 10 years ago on business and they had a very cool Gatling gun in .45/70 for sale. $16k.

My only dealings with this outfit have been for a pair of Pre 1910 Marlin leveractions . They were as they represented them and of course I didn't pay the listed price for either of the rifles .

I'm not questioning the dealings of this company, I'm just saying the use of the word "Original" in the description may or may not be true and is used too frequently much like the word "Rare". Those words are obviously used to help sell the gun when many times we know differently. It truly is "Buyer Beware."

Always stop in Collectors while in Houston. Great shop nice people. I don't think of them as Parker experts. Two weeks ago one Trojan 3 Parker.Reproductions and one high grade Parker that looked to be restocked on the shelves . Hundreds of Colts and Winchesters.

I make up my own mind on any gun, dealer is always going to present to his advantage.
