Does your BTF have a recoil bolt going the length of the forearm? This is generally omitted when an aftermarket BTF is fitted to a gun.

That's an extremely nice gun and was made at the very end of Parker production by Remington Arms in Ilion, NY.

At one time I owned the beavertail forend from Parker 242262 which was a DHE or CHE.
Thanks Dean.

20 serial numbers apart is amazing!

That BTFE has the proper iron or the draw bolt. You can tell by the look of the front of the iron.

By the look of the buttstock, that Morgan adjustable pad looks added on without alteration to the stock. This is based not he appear ant length of the stock. A proper buttplate could likely be fitted back onto that gun to make it look original and unaltered.

I agree. Judging by the location of the shield in relation to the grip cap and the toe of the stock wood, it appears to be original length.

Instead of hijacking this thread I created a new thread for my gun to continue the discussion. http://parkerguns.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15703

I very much appreciate everyone's input as the knowledge base within PGCA is by far the best source of learning I have found.

Thank you!
