I believe I saw an 8 gauge Parker listed somewhere a year or two ago that had 40" pipes .

The "Gold Hearts" gun is a 34"-30" two barrel set.

I have an old 12ga. muzzleloader with 42" tubes, it's kinda fun to get out once in a while. I was asked not to bring it back to our local Wednesday night skeet club shoot, on a calm night the smoke lingers for a long time

Craig,

where in central Virginia are you located?

I am in Mechanicsville near Richmond. Send me a PM

At one time I have owned as many as 7 original 34 inch guns. 6 12gauges and one a 16 gauge.

They are out there. Seem to come in groups onto the market. In 07 08 I could only find one and then by 09 2010 there were many on the market for sale.

Be patient one will show itself for certain. Uncommon guns yes. But not rare.
Now 34" small bores or a 12 on a 3 frame with 34" tubes or some other configuration makes it much harder to find them.

Have a happy new year.

John

Most I have seen have been DH or DHE straight grips with splinter forearms.

There was one DH for sale at last years Spring Southern. If memory serves me she was without a safety and double triggers.

All of mine remaining ones and ones in the past were different configs:
Most were .740 bores with 2 7/8 chambers. Weights were any where from 7 3/4 pounds to 9 pounds 5 ounces. All of my 12s were or are on #2 frames.

Go thru the serialization book. They come in runs. Something like 163 in DH grade and smaller numbers in other grades according to TPS.

Dave, thanks for the picture of the "Gold Hearts" gun. Like the Saxbe VHE, the trigger on the "Gold Hearts" gun has miraculously started to work reliably without being touched by a screwdriver.

Wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of the 34 inchers or even a 32 incher before the Virginia State Trap Shoot 4th of July weekend for the side by side event .

Shoot in it last year with my old VH #2 frame 30" gun . But I'd kinda like to get a wee bit longer barrel for this coming year .

Craig, I know at least a couple of vintage gun shooters who shoot the VA State Shoot. Not that I would shoot ATA, but maybe you and these other guys could get together. OK, so I would shoot ATA if I had someone to shoot with. Is there a participant list for last year's Vintage Gun event?

That was a non registered ATA event . Lets see Danny Patton shot (he's the stock guy that a few on here use) , Gent Mitchell shot and myself . Other then a young fellow I drug along those were the only folks I knew .

Last year it was a 50 bird event . I think the guy who's the prez of the VTA wants to try and do a 100 bird race this year .
