Appreciate the comments gentlemen. Actually, beyond the GHE and its personalized leg o' mutton, every item in that pic holds a special meaning.

The Newspaper: Dec. 8th, 1941 San Fran Chronicle given to me by my dad who was in the Bay area on that fateful Sunday, visiting family.

The Flag: From a dear friend and 4th generation Stanley Works employee. It was his dad's funeral flag; a 1st Division Marine who landed and spilled his blood on Okinawa in '45.

The Hat: Ahhhhhhh, if only we could hear that one talk.............

To all who have served (or serving currently) enjoy your special day.

Sorry Roll, I missed this one. Beautiful pic! So what gives? Did you wander off the reservation yet again?
Looks like a real Screamer. Bringing her to Hausmann's? So what's the deal behind "special??"

Wow, I can't believe Craig is talking about wandering off the reservation! How many Parkers are at home next to all the Fox guns Craig.....

OP,

Sometimes you just need a little Parker "chaff" mixed-in amongst all that A.H. Fox "wheat!!"

What makes this gun special is Tool Man when participating in a Vintagers event would not have to wear high heels and a dress to provide the period correct appearance necessary for a Fox gun.

As Sergeant Schultz used to say "I know nothing!" but I really do know the inside story. Steve may be barred from ever stepping foot in Philadelphia when the truth is known. He'll be welcome in Meriden.

Come on Chuck, Steve in heels and a dress, we need to know the "rest of the story".

Actually Daryl, the story behind the story of this gun would be worthy of being told by Paul Harvey. As he said, "And now, you know the rest of the story." Stay tuned.

WHOA Pete!! Heels and a dress?? And I thought the "shot heard 'round the world" came from Lexington & Concord? All this time I thought you were one of my allies? Romig did tell you that I spent 9 years in Vegas writing for Don Rickles, right?
