The gun is a bit of a mess. It was not a good purchase. Unless it was a few hundred dollars for the purpose of getting parts for another gun.

That WMM3 possibly Remington repair code seems a bit questionable to me, as I can't imagine Remington Arms Co. Inc. doing any work on a composite barrel gun in 1943. They were sending out letters such as this.

Many of us suspect this was an industry desperate attempt to sell some new guns during the Great Depression that has become "gospel."
