I wish I knew you had that gun when I lived in Maryland. I would have asked to see it. I can't imagine owning a SAA. I'll bet it's gorgeous. Do you ever get up this way Bill? I get down to Maryland to see the family most every month. I'll give you a call. I'd love to see that smiling face again and remind you of the time I laughed at you when you got dragged through the briars and got your pretty face marked up.

Too bad we seldom got together when you lived right up the road from me. We should at least get together once a year at the Baltimore Show. I still have the rare little Lam 1 20 gauge Parker bird gun that I bought from the young lady at Baltimore, probably the last year you attended. I loved running our pups, your Stoney and my Eva, at McKee Beshers. I am dogless temporarily, but hope to solve that problem. I look at the Gitman Parkers every time they come up at auction, but own only one. I would like a AAHE to accompany my SAA. I have watched a few of Shelly's AA Grades go by, but am usually not financially able to make the buy. I bought a nice early AAH last year, but it is not a Gitman gun. A neighbor owns what I think is a Gitman SA1 Special, but will never let it go.

Tom, I am very glad you are enjoying the Gitman SC. It's always a pleasure to share these wonderful guns with others who appreciate and shoot them. My SB is getting a workout these days as well. John

Bill, I'll make sure to get to the Baltimore show. I'm looking forward to seeing you. I hope Kevin still goes to that show also.

Kevin and I have been tablemates at Baltimore for going on 40 years. It's a good excuse for visiting Maryland once a year.

Fellow shooters. Our club has a recent two day PITA trap shoot. I was busy as a board member helping run the shoot, but I noted a older shooter shooting a SBT, I noted the hinge pin and thought, " that is a Parker" Later I approached him and indeed it was , looked like a 28', didn't get the grade, but he said it was manufactured in 1907?, but had a 6 digit serial number. Nice gun, first one I have ever seen. I have two Parker GH's but as my wife and I shoot a lot of trap, always wanted a Parker SBT, at least I have seen one!

1907 would be a little early. I'm headed out to the Atlanta Spring Classic shoot this morning. 200 single 16's. I'll be shooting my SB and I'm fairly certain she will be the only vintage SBT, much less a Parker, on the grounds. Wish me luck.

John- you might be surprised on Parker SBTs. At our little trap range here in Spirit Lake Iowa (home of Fred Gilbert, Johnnie Jahn, Bob Allen) There are three SBTs, all Parker SCs. They are out there and they don't live in closets. Jeff
