I'm thinking I'll take a pass this year for the first time. At 70 I can pick and choose the kind of torture I want to subject this old body to. See you at the 2019 New Years Day Shoot.

Certainly understandable Dean, the weather forecast for NYD in this area shows wind chills of -10 to -21 during the day. That kind of cold is at best rather uncomfortable and bordering dangerous. I can't see subjecting somebody to running the 5 stand in these conditions. As much as I enjoy ringing in the New Year with the company of my fellow PGCA members I believe it may be prudent to call off the shoot. What does everyone think?

I'll come if you do hold the event but certainly won't complain if you cancel. It's a 2.5 hr drive from SEVT and the thought of standing around and trying to shoot trap with 30 MPH quartering gusts.... well, let's just say, "Mehbe not so much fun!"

Only the super-hardy and the fool-hardy would shoot in those conditions.

As much as i have looked forward to this it is the people that make it what it is. If you decide to cancel i will start looking forward to next year. Without the folks i met last year and the ones i hoped to meet this year it would be just another day shooting. Either way thank you for your efforts.

I was looking forward to attending this shoot for the first time, but given the weather it might make sense to cancel or postpone.

I will certainly plan on attending in 2019.

After much thought and with regret I feel it is a good idea to cancel the NYD shoot at Major Waldron's in Barrington NH given the weather we are experiencing. Please pass this information along to anyone you know who might be thinking of attending.

Thanks Pete for all your efforts in setting it up this year.
It is unfortunate the weather won't be cooperating on Jan 1st.

I hope it happens again next year under more favorable conditions.

Pete and Scott
Thanks for trying. I started this thread or another asking for this shoot but it’s your event.
My wife will be disappointed as she loves the NH liquor store shopping and she gets to visit with our maid of honor who lives nearby (and who is single and not afraid of guns being the daughter of a Secret Service guy).
Anyway how about an early Addieville shoot? Maybe our Rhode Island members can watch the weather for us.
